Imagine not knowing what was happening with your family, what to do to make things better, or where to go to find help. Imagine being powerless to make any difference. This year in the United States of America, more than 400,000 children and youth are faced with that dilemma and come into the foster care system.
Twenty-nine years ago today, on a Sunday afternoon in the Spring of 1984, the phone rang in a house at Scottwood Drive in Nashville. On the other end was Diana Crawford, a social worker at AGAPE informing Charlie and Kathy Brumit that they had a placement. “What’s a placement?” they asked. They had no idea what a placement was, or what it would require, but they found out soon.

AGAPE was saddened to learn of the passing of Myrtle Qualls Wulf Sunday at the age of 94. As the agency's first social worker she was admired and loved by many. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at the New Hope Road Church of Christ, 2600 New Hope Road, Hendersonville, Tennessee 37075.
