Susan Allen, M.S. completed her internship at AGAPE and joined the team as a contract counselor in pursuit of her LPC-MHSP licensure in January of 2023. Susan holds a B.S. in Health Promotion from Appalachian State University (1999) and began her career in Public Health before transitioning to Crisis Ministry. She earned a master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lipscomb University. Her prior career as a health educator allowed her to create and implement curriculum to support a variety of low socio-economic populations. She has experience with grief and loss counseling, adolescent counseling including adolescent parent education, and religious/spiritual trauma. She has a heart for diverse populations and desires to create a safe space with a focus on Client-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral [CBT], and Narrative Therapies. Susan is open to seeing clients from any culture and religion. She believes there is something to be learned from and celebrated in everyone. Susan sees clients at the main office in Nashville.
