Sonya joined AGAPE in November 2021 as a mental health counselor. Sonya holds a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and is a Certified Brain Health Professional through Amen Clinics.
Areas of clinical interests include, but are not limited to life transitions, managing stress, anxiety and depression, substance use disorders, relational issues, self-esteem, and healthy boundaries. Sonya’s approach is supportive, empathetic, non-judgmental, collaborative, and relational. You can bring your complete self and feel safe and accepted. She is here to walk alongside others in finding a healthy path and learning to deal with reality in a positive way—living a life that is true to themselves that is whole, authentic, empowering, and provides contentment and fulfillment.
Sonya is currently pursuing LPC-MHSP licensure in Tennessee under the supervision of Joy Samuels, D. Min., LPC-MHSP, NCC- License # 2364.
