Alison Moore, M.A. is a licensed professional counselor with a mental health service provider designation in the state of Tennessee. She has a Master of Arts in Psychology from Houston Baptist University and a Bachelor of Arts from Maryland Institute College of Art. She has been providing counseling services for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families since 2014. Alison has experience with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, addiction, and family or marital conflict. Alison has special experience in treating adolescents, addiction, chronic illness clients, and Autism. She also has additional training in complex trauma and is knowledgeable in the EMDR approach.

Alison utilizes a client-directed and eclectic approach, which allows her to treat a wide variety of issues. She is passionate about being alongside people in their journeys of healing and personal growth. She holds unconditional positive regard for each client in order to create a safe environment for individuals to explore and learn. She believes that each person has an innate goodness and ability to transform. Alison is passionate about helping people to let go of their unhelpful labels and to find their true identity. She utilizes each person’s strengths and spirit to move toward a more authentic version of themself and improve their quality of life and relationships.

Alison accepts clients of all different backgrounds, religions, and cultures. She enjoys learning from each new client and believes all people are of value and importance. Each client brings unique life experience, special lessons, and strengths to therapy. She is open to exploring spiritual issues and utilizing Christian Counseling when appropriate. She sees clients at the main office in Nashville.
