Joyce D. Sloan, Ph.D., LPC/MHSP, joined AGAPE in 2006. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor/Mental Health Service Provider and National Certified Counselor. She received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Middle Tennessee State University, followed by her master’s degree in Counseling and Ph.D. in Clinical Counseling, Teaching and Supervision from Trevecca Nazarene University. Joyce works primarily with adults and couples. Her treatment interests include anxiety and depression, women’s issues, premarital counseling, career counseling, and grief and loss. She has been trained in EMDR Levels I and II, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Joyce also serves on the board of the Nashville Area Association of Christian Counselors. Joyce sees clients at the Smyrna office.
