Ecclesiastes 3:1 states, “To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven:” We are grateful for the season that Mark McFerran has shared with AGAPE as Director of Development for the past 2+ years. Mark has accepted the position of Chief Development Officer at Tennessee Voices, a statewide mental health non-profit, and we wish him all the best in this new season.
“Mark has served AGAPE with great enthusiasm, working hard to move our mission forward,” said Chandler Means, Executive Director. “We are grateful for his time at AGAPE, the relationships he invested in, and the way he advocated for this work. He’ll certainly be missed at AGAPE, but we know he’ll continue to be a strong voice for this ministry.”
We are thankful to announce that Shanna Shilling, LMSW, who serves as one of our supervisors in the Morning Star Sanctuary Domestic Violence Shelter, has accepted the role of Interim Residential Program Manager for the shelter. Shanna has served at Morning Star since 2019 and is well-suited to carry out this position of leadership and guidance while the Board of Directors conducts their search for the new Morning Star Sanctuary Director.
“I am often reminded of the Lord’s provision for AGAPE, and one of the best examples of that is through the people he brings to AGAPE to serve in this ministry,” said Chandler Means, Executive Director. “Shanna is gifted in her service to others, and her commitment to lead in this interim role is a blessing to our staff and those who come to the shelter. We give thanks for her willingness to take on this position and know the program will be blessed by her leadership.”
